If you’re a free, active spirit , and would rather not use a car to get to the beach, then a hike to Salomon beach might be for you. It’s a beautiful, palm-fringed beach with turquoise water and can be reached from Cruz Bay via a mile-long hike. If you get really lucky, you might even have the beach to yourself.
How to Hike to Salomon Beach:
Take the Lind Point Trail, which begins at the National Park Visitors Center in Cruz Bay. From there, it will be a little less than one mile to the beach at Salomon Bay. When you get to the fork in the trail, you can go either way. The lower trail is slightly shorter and less hilly. On the other hand, the upper trail is often better maintained and more scenic, passing by the beautiful Lind Point Overlook.
From either the upper or lower trails, take the spur trail to Salomon Bay, which will be on your left and leads downhill.
